I tried to connect to mysql on another machine, but can't get through: ERROR 2003: Can't conect to MySQL server on 'other host' (111)
I think this is because the two machines are in different domains, and the packets are being blocked by a firewall. Anybody know what I need to enable in the firewall to let the packets go through? Also, will this same port/packet-type/whatever work for slaving one database to another to act as a backup server.? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Before posting, please check: http://www.mysql.com/manual.php (the manual) http://lists.mysql.com/ (the list archive) To request this thread, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Trouble unsubscribing?
