Another Mac OS X problem... verified in 10.1 and 10.2 I'm guessing that the mysql client libraries don't support the port option (-P or --port=)... On both 10.1 and 10.2, I can't get mysql, mysqladmin, or mysqlshow (the on three I've tried) to connect to a mysql server on any port other than 3306. I've even tried a GUI client (SQL4X manager) that ships with its on client libraries... but to no avail. There are no firewalls or tcp/wrapper issues, the clients just always try to connect to port 3306, regardless of what I specify.
Any clues? thanks, adam arrowood -- Adam Arrowood || http://www.gatech.edu/adam || [EMAIL PROTECTED] Office of Information Technology/O&E/CS Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA USA (404) 894-0372 work || (404) 310-0108 cell --------------------------------------------------------------------- Before posting, please check: http://www.mysql.com/manual.php (the manual) http://lists.mysql.com/ (the list archive) To request this thread, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Trouble unsubscribing?
