Dear all,
When I try to update or create a record to a table,
there is an error saying the table is read-only.
How can I change it to read-write?
I have chmod 777 to all the tables in the mysql data directory.
I have also restarted the mysql engine.
This happened only after I copy the tables f

Thats probably you username in user table has given you only SELECT prilvages
(Select_priv)
You can log in as root in mysql and UPDATE the user table to give you INSERT,
DELETE privlages
Refer to any sql book on the syntax of UPDATE
