Hello, I'm architecting a web-based system that needs to be able to handle 5 million records and roughly up to 3,000 inserts an hour. Although I'm willing to sacrifice referencial integrity for speed, I must have transaction support (commit/rollback) and row-level locking. Is anyone out there running a MySql production system with similar specifications? I would love to hear from you (especially if I can make a reference to your organization in my proposal). It would also be helpful to know what platform the db is running on (Linux, Solaris, etc). Thanks!
