Hi everyone ,

I'm using a script file to do the "reset master"
command every saturday to clean up the log files. My script is called by a
bigger script that stop mysql , take server backup , then start mysql.
Just after the start command is issued the reset master script is lunched.
This works only on half my servers and i noticed that on the servers where
it didn'twork mysql take up to 30 seconds to start and be ready for
connection. So i'm wondering could this be related to some kind of mysql
timeout like "connect_timeout" or so ? Or any other timeout value that
would affect how long a script command can wait before being terminated or
rejected.

Thanks!
