I'm running mysql with --log-update=update_log with no extension, so every time I flush the logs I get the next sequential number appended as an extension to the new update_log file. If I flush the logs regularly every day, that sequence number will continue to grow - is there any way to reset the update_log sequence number back to .000? How big will it grow? Will it ever recycle itself? TIA.
