size of database on disk

Hi, I run a Perl program on a test run of about 4 hours and my database connection expired/broke down. Here is the error I got : DBI connect('project','root',...) failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10
