Bug Team,
I have a genuine need to run multiple frontend processes on my computer.
This worked find under 0.21, but since upgrading to 0.22 i cannot do
this. I suspect this bug fix is what is preventing me from doing it. Is
there a way to override this restriction?

Following up on my previous comment, i have removed the patch from my
mythfrontend.sh file, but a command line switch to override this feature
for those like myself who need multiple processes would be a good idea.

Howdy, and thank you for helping to improve Mythbuntu. mythtv-status fell
behind on the 9.10 release.
This is resolved for 10.04 with the re-sync to debian, described in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mythtv-status/+bug/455542
It is also available for 9.10 via the Mythbuntu -testin

I was actually referring to that bug to point to the steps to work-
around the problem you are having. I believe the bug was actually
resolved per https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mythtv-

I don't beleive this is a duplicate.
Bug 500396 is about dependency issues during installation.
This bug is about code that doesnt work correctly, after MythTV is
upgraded to 0.22
