Hi Thomas,
I just copied a few songs to my FE & changed the setting to point to
that directory (/home/garry/music/). However, the play music section
still shows the same music folder/files as before. This seems to be
quite weird, so I will need to dig a bit deeper.
I am tired now, & have a head
Hi Thomas,
Thank you for this response.
I implemented the 5 seconds sleep & that worked fine, although with no
time to spare... I will keep watch on that & increase the time if it
does not always work. I wish that I had known it could be that easy &
well within my abilities...

Hi Thomas,
Thanks for the courtesy note.
I am now on ver 2.0.27.3, so I expect that it is not a problem. I don'
actually know, because I have not used any "domestically recoded dvd"
for a long time.
I do have 2 frustrations, & as far as I can determine, these have not
been addressed:

Hi Thomas,
Thanks for looking at this bug.
I can't remember when, but the problem did eventually "go away". I
presumed that you guys had fixed something.
I have also evolved my system a bit.
I now have 3 PCs running Mythbuntu:
One is a master backend with one dual tuner.
One is a slave backen

I have been using Mythbuntu 12.04 for about 6 weeks. (I have been using

My FE crashes in multiple situations. So I am not sure whether this

Hi Thomas,
Not long after our earlier interaction on the bug, I had had a malware
possibility, so I stopped using the PC involved in this bug, & built-up
a different PC on a separate HDD.
At that stage, I had not tried to follow your suggestions for extracting
more information about the bug. I a
Hi Thomas,
Thanks for your clarification.
I haven't been able to add the patch (see below & earlier posts).
Nevertheless, I edited postinst by adding "set -x".
However, when I ran dpkg reconfigure, it gave me the same comment as

Hi Mario,
Further to your e-mail of 08 Jul 11, 17:51:
"Actually reading your mysql.txt one more time, why do you have a
http:// in your DBHostName? It is just supposed to be an IP address in
that field".
I deleted the "http://"; in MythTV, then checked that it was also deleted
from mysql.txt.
Hi Mario,
Thanks for having another look at his bug for me.
I tried to download the fix, but I received the message: "Error: page
not found".
On that screen, there is a search function, so I typed in the final
part, which I presume is the name of a file: "778864.patch". This gave

Hi,
I notice that this bug has not progressed past the incomplete,
undecided, unassigned stages.
Since this has been open for 4 weeks now, I suspect that it is not
likely to progress very quickly... I presume that there may be many

Hi Thomas,

Should I just create this folder (& then run install mythtv-common)? If

Hi Mario, thanks for following up on this bug.
I missed your post yesterday; sorry about the delay.
By the way, I re-ran install mythtv-common twice, once immediately after
the first failure, & again nearly 1 hour later. These re-runs used the
already downloaded file. The initial & first re-run

Hi Marc,
Thanks for these comments.
1. I ran memtest for 2 hours, with no problems.

works well). It could not access it. I am not familiar with using ss
