I'd say that if you can't create these directories you should just
silently ignore the problem: the behaviour
About ten minutes later I got another dialog box complaining that
mythgallery can't be installed because mythgallery is already installed
and configured.

I just upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04, and in the process it installed
mythgallery-0.23.0+fixes21404. While doing so it tried to create
/var/lib/mythtv/pictures, and I got an error dialog complaining about
'error creating directory ... No such fi
I tried the latest version: fixes23230:
1. Installing with /var/lib/mythtv/music being a symbolic link worked: the link
wasn't deleted.
2. Uninstalling deleted the symbolic link at /var/lib/mythtv/music.
3. Mounting /var/lib/mythtv/music as read-only and installing produced
'read-only file syste
I'll try uninstalling MythMusic on my netbook and reinstalling it in the
next day or two; hopefully that would hit the same code as a clean
install.
