Just as an aside question, is there a reason why it's ok to have an
external dep
just a straight MPEG-2 stream over IP, that should be pretty
simple. If there's a little more to headers and stuff, you should
still be able to handle it. Try using netcat to connect to them and
redirect the output to a file and then see if mplayer will play it. If
so, it should be a pi

It -does not- disable PS mode in any way, just turns it off by default
for new cards.
Hopefully this will help make QAM channels a tiny bit easier for at
least some new users.

So, I went through the arduous, time consuming task of stepping through
the last several days' worth of commits. The result of this process is
to discover that none of them caused it. It appears to be some problem
with CVS, dependencies, or both.
When I did a completely clean check-out and
my digital and
analog tuners, I'm sure that the same bug will likely afflict not just
myself, but everyone.

only at test broadcast strength, it made it tough. Multipath may not
be as big a deal if you've got a nice rooftop antenna, but it shows up
a lot when you've only got an indoor antenna, even if it's a
directional one.
