development that I've done in the past has been using the 3dsmax and
DigitalFusion SDK's so I tend to think in plugins

Once or twice I've seen a show that has no captions but every

What would be nice is to be able to fine tune the algorithms for a
particular show. Say you record a show every week that doesn't work
well with scene change detection well due to the editor and/or
directors style. Well it would be nice to have a set of rules
attached to that recording schedule
