Just to add my 2cents, I think I tend to agree with Dave. I have seen
a couple of times where the OSD has overlapped, I think time-stretch
overlaps with anything else, and it is quite annoying.

Doesn't that depend on how much border there is in the theme?
If the theme boxes are large, but there is 50% wasted area, I am quite
happy for that 25% to overlap
