I'm trying to compile mythfrontend SVR 0.18.2 (revision 7448) on XBox Xebian
1.1.4 in order to line up my frontends with the current KnoppMyth alpha
version. One of the issues I've encountered is the error "usr/bin/ld: cannot
find -lXext" which according to the docs means I don't have XFree86-d
Would you say, then, that if I just want to watch
SD (iow I don't need an HD-ready TV monitor) I'm better off connecting the
mythtv frontend to a good computer monitor than having an S-Video TV monitor?
I'm want to buy a decent 19" LCD monitor for TV
viewing, and I was wondering whether i

Hi,
I have a strange problem ...
Whenever I plug the Audio-Out of my PVR350 in my MIC-In I get some

My PVR-350 *was* working fine, live tv, recording, and everything. I
tried to add an saa7133 based card which I am now going to give up on.
But now my PVR-350 gives a black screen when select

Assuming of course that you're using a DVB card, as opposed to a STB
connected to an analogue capture card[1] :)

recording the wrong channel. I was actually recording the TEN channel
guide, which shows the currently playing program in the corner

originally compiled mythtv with GCC 3.3, and recently had to recompile
it. Unbeknownst to me, Debian had upgraded the default GCC to
4.0. Once I changed the symlinks back to 3.3, it compiled fine
again.
I'm not running x64 though, but I suspec
