Like Brian said, dual cores are a different matter. You must run the
SMP kernel or your not using half the silicon.
However... back to the OP. cat /proc/cpuinfo and /sbin/lspci and
post em if you're still having problems.

play a DVD in myth?
I know I need some typs of decoder or codec to allow MPlayer (and
hench Myth) the ability to watch DVDs just like I do with my Denon DVD
player.
Can someone point me in the right direction for the best solution.

currently running a mobile 2800 at 1.3 volts. I got one of those
huge heat sinks with a 70mm fan and took off the fan. I have a 120mm
fan running at 7 volts attached to the cover the micro atx case,
pulling air in the vent over the CPU. Dead silent, works like a charm.

. At a later time I made a dual stereo mini
extender for the 4 speaker surround sound. Again, putting one ground
and one signal in each twisted pair. That worked fine as well
never tried audio and video together in the same wire but it might

adjusting the digit for the substations you're trying to get in. PBS
in particular has many..

a flag for ATSC/NTSC/PAL.
no flag, mplayer version 1.0 or so understand a TS stream.
mplayer -vo xv -cache 8192 /dev/dtv
optionally put -tsprog 1 on the end of that if you have a station (
like pbs ) that has multiple programs, the 1 is the program number,
start at 0 and work up.
