I have multiple frontends mounting a network share to the same local
path. Is there any way to do the setup on one frontend and have it
apply to all the frontends? The best thing I can figure would be to
have the video images on a network share and mount them to the same
local path. Any way to a

I just finished a fresh fc4 install utilizing Jarod's guide. I have a
master backend/frontend that can record, watch live tv and play
recordings with no problem. My remote frontend locks up on a black
screen when attempting to watch live tv or recordings. If I go to the
recordings menu, I can st

The only thing that looked suspicious in this was the low latency timer message.

Also, I get the same errors when running the frontend as root, so that
doesn't seem to be the issue. Anyone have any other ideas?

They appear to be:

Yes, the LVM is on the backend. Sorry if I was a little unclear. I
have both a master backend/frontend and a
I'm setting up a FC4 system per Jarod's guide. Everything seems to go
fine. But I can't watch live TV. Here are the terminal messages I

Use MythVideo to play your AVI files. It esentially lauches mplayer
(or any other player you configure).

I'm running through installing fc3 using Jarod's guide and am having
an issue formatting my LVM volume. mkfs.xfs does not exist on my
system. When I try to use mkfs -t xfs, it just calls mkfs.xfs. Is
there an option I need to choose during the install to get this

Has anyone had issues with MythVideo losing file info? Such as not

I'm running mythtv 0.16 on fc3 installed with Jarod's Guide. My
videos are on a windows share and are mounted via Samba. Whenever I
tried to watch something, I was having major skipping/buffer issues.
I knew it wasn't a network issue because I could watch these files

This is exactly how I have MythVideo setup. Don't dump the raw dvd's
but rip and re-encode them to xvid or divx .avi's (or any other codec
and container combination you prefer) with the appropriate filename.
All my files and folders are located in a single "movies" directory.

A little off topic but I tried setting up software raid on 3 highpoint

with one master on each channel and no slaves. It kept locking up
when attempting to detect the drives. Never had any luck so I ended
up switching platforms..
WellI now get sound when watching live tv and recordings by
setting myth to use ALSA:mixed-digital. I still get no sound in
mythmusic. I also only get sound on certain video files in mythmovie.

So I am attempting to get the SPDIF working on my nforce2 mb. I
followed the mythtv.info tutorial and created my .asoundrc. When I
