FWIW, I've just got rid of this same problem myself (loss of audio, need
to hit "-" or "+" to get it working, doesn't always work then anyway).
Original server (with the problem existing ONLY on the USB tuner):
Pentium III 866 dual-CPU server on AOpen motherboard
Hauppauge Nova-T PCI
DigitalNow
At the moment Damon's xmltv grabber is broken for Foxtel, however it
appears to be a problem with ninemsn's Foxtel programme.
D1 is working (as much as D1 really does work), so it looks like it's
back to the old grabber for now...
