I have bought my last 5 HDs (3 seagate and 2 Hitachi) with rebates
over the last two years. I have gotten all the rebates back without
any hassel. I guess i am just lucky.

I think you just press the up/down arrow keys. I configured myth to
show the channels before changing, so up/down then enter to accept the
channel, otherwise
I just got a 160 GB seagate, I see them onsale for this week for $49
at fry's (after rebate). Bringing my total storage to about 750GB (4
drives). I also had to buy an IDE card since I maxed out the devices
of the onboard with a DVD writer.

I only want to record the new battlestar galactica series. Is there a
way I can specify this in myth? Essential, I want to record all
battlestar galactica playing at anytime on channel scifi. When I
tried this, I kept getting the old series recorded as well.
I have 3 seagate barracuda HDs. I am wondering what is the best way
to quietly cool these down. Right now I think they are running *very*
hot. The only fans in the mini atx tower are the power supply fan and
the cpu fan. Wondering what is the more effective and quiet way to
cool down these
I am using avidemux2 with nuvexport. I am using it under X, but is is
fully automatic.
1. In myth load up your cutlist.
2. then launch nuvexport.
3. choose mpeg2-mpeg2 (cutlist or commercial).
4. Watch it.. it should run then launch avidemux2.

I just put mine in /var/www/html/mythweb or where you apache conf
points to your document root.
Then you can refer to it as http://localhost/mythweb/
Here is how you can find out document root on fedora or just open up this file:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] html]# grep -i documentroot
I think Mythmusic works with subdirectories fine and I think the same
for mythvideo. Both or these will scan subdirs to build up a list of
files to play.

Although I don't use it, I think mythtv has lirc integration, so you
don't have to do external keyboard bindings.

I would highly recommend that you using LVM. Many people who are not
using LVM are kicking themselves for it later on. The benefits of LVM
is that is relatively easy to setup and can be expanded without
migration or data loss if you need more space in the future. If you
need to migrate the data
I think mplayer supports avi, wmv, and all sorts of other codecs.
Depending on your distro, you might need to recompile since redhat
turns off all the good stuff. Kinda choppy using the tv-out of the
pvr350 though.

This is a function of the Graphics card in your system.
MythTv doesn't support multiple directories. You should really have
used LVM upon the initial setup of your system. It isn't hard and
truely is flexible. I have expanded my volumes 3 times since I
originally installed MythTV from 100GB to 300GB to 500GB. Anyhow the
information on how to LVM is
