Hi John,
Thanks for the reply, but I don't actually understand your
answer. Why can't the framebuffer be resized successfully to
allow the entire window to appear on my screen? After much
tinkering, I was able to resize an matrox G400-TV out framebuffer to
fit on my TV; I've moved to a quieter b
Hi,
I've got X working on the tv-out of my pvr-350. I used the

been able to find a "non-chopped" ntsc modeline for the pvr-350

My system seems to be a heck of a lot peppier since I neutered acpi with

Now my HDTV playback has regular pauses instead of continuous hiccups... woohoo.

Hi,
I posted another question and got some nice responses on how to
optimize my system for HDTV playback (which currently pauses
frequently with these Prebuffering Pause console messages).
I'm stuck and I think that the problem may be audio/ALSA related. I

Actually, I was just wondering if there was a checklist for me to work
from before I threw myself on the mercy of the list in a
component-by-component fashion.
I'm running a
P4 2.
Hi,
I'd given up on HDTV playback on my P4 2.4 system because it stutters,
but I've noticed a bunch of posts mentioning slower machines with
watchable HDTV. Is there a list someplace of recommended tweaks and
optimizations?
Thanks,

Hi,
test-mpeg2 just tells me it
"Failed to get libraw1394 handle"
and doesn't give me any useful info about why.

Hmph. I've had no problems with my orinoco gold card. What are you
seeing as problems with it? I disabled WEP/WPA on my AP during

Hi,
Some of the users here have been able to get air2pc working with
mythtv. I haven't yet, but with the help of David and Johannes, I at
least confirmed that my drivers work.
The first good test is to tune to a channel with azap -r CHANNEL in
one window and run "dvbscan -cvvv". If you've got a

Do you mean the "cat" portion?
azap and dvbtune seem to work from that dvb-apps collection.
I was under the impression that the whole point of using dvb drivers

Nope, I have been trying

Sergio's original message was about using more than one card, so I
