I skim this list once a week or so, so I sorry I didn't see this before..
Whomever it was having the problem I need the following questions answered:
1. What cable carrier are you using?
2. Do you know what frequencies you can get unencrpyted channels on?
3. If you know the answer to number 2,

KOIN-DT CBS eh? Me too. This is definately an issue with Myth. Using
this card under Linux from the command line with azap and dvbstream
produces a nice transport stream file. Using this card under Windows
with a couple different applications like TSReader

So, I was ecstatic when EIT started working on my system, thanks to
the major DVB revamping of 0.17 and the numerous EIT and DVB patches
since.
Thanks.. It took a good deal of my time and John and Jespers time as well.. :)
Unfortunately, it seems that the EIT

Even after the recent commits to the cvs concerning eit, I have not be
able to see any epg data.
What provider are you attempting to use EIT with? There are many descriptors
that are not handled at this point in time.. 99% of which are not really
necessary..

I would be perfectly happy tuning and storing the fully encrypted
datastream under myth.
For playback, just send it to the TV with a cable card and let it decrypt it.
This would possibly mean I can't share my programs with someone else if they
can't decrypt it

I'm very pleased about the new 0.17, especially the DVB-integration is
really nice. But i dont know how to get the dvb-epg-data into mythtv.
I've checked every get EPG over DVB (or what its called in english)
in the channel setup. But i dont know

it might be fixed?

I'm using Air2pc card to capture OTA. I'm really wondering why almost half
of the channels are showing as Unknown in Program Guide. Also when I watch
those channels that are labeled Unknown in Watch TV, and I press i on the
keyboard, there is no info shown on
Quoting James Armstrong [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
I wasn't sure if you were getting OTA or not, I saw capture OTA and was
thinking recording OTA, not program guide OTA. You are right, don't need
mythfilldatabase for that. I'm still using zap2it.
Its your call. Most channels don't have more than 18

I just downloaded linux-dvb cvs stuff but I'm having trouble figuring
out a way to add my unencrypted digital cable channels. Is there any
way to scan for channels? I read the instructions at

Ok,
I have the firmware loading, I can azap my channels. I've even
re-added the ivtv drivers and they are working. Rebuilt mythtv
from todays cvs, but now in mythtv setup,
setting the card type to DVB shows the error:
Could not get card info for card

out their web site tho, I find the Air2LAN device perhaps even
more interesting.
The Air2PC is fully supported by current CVS. I also just yesterday made it
work with Unencrypted Digital

You are not setting your startchannel correctly. You need to set it to an
existing channel number that you see in the Channel Editor.

I am chasing down a problem getting this new stuff to work; it seems to
detect all the transports then just stop at 10% forever.
Can you move this question over to the -dev list? I also would like to get a
dump of your setup console output so I can get

Does anyone know if there are plans to support CableCard within Myth? I
guess this is a 2 part question. The first part being, are there any efforts
out there to make a CableCard reader for the PC, and secondly, will Myth
support CableCard?
First there

I've got newest CVS with new DVB Code working. But the epg guide is not
loading from air. Is there something special to do, to switch it on?
The EPG code is what I would consider BETA right now..
I enabled GUID in settings.pro. And marked the
