Hello everyone!
I have finally found the problem!

motherboard and connected the output of the TV card to it instead of to
the Audigy. No more crackling! However, I noticed the volume is way too
high! The TV card seems to be outputt

Hello everyone!
I'm probably one of the very few people left with a non-PVR analog card
(a simple Hauppauge WinTV Go, based on cx8800).
Well, I can only say I never had any problems with crackling outside
MythTV, and I've used numerous players, and both OSS and ALSA...

Hello everyone!
I'm probably one of the very few people left with a non-PVR analog card
(a simple Hauppauge WinTV Go, based on cx8800). The audio goes from the
TV card to the sound card via a simple external stereo cable, as I'm
sure is the case in many setups out there.
