You need to download and install the LCDProc software.
http://lcdproc.omnipotent.net/?continue=yes
You then setup the config file /etc/LCDd.conf - and make sure you
specify the com port you have the panel connected to.
Once the LCDd daemon is running, Myth will connect to it as a client.

I have been busy working on the mythtv system. the backend/frontend is
downstairs and the Wife Approval Factor is at an all time high. :-)
I had the idea to use a Xbox as a frontend (she says its a bit noisy,
