Well, you don't need the frequencies, but unless this has changed in
CVS in the last few days, "Hook it up, scan" only works if your cable
service uses QAM-256. You can, however, change that to QAM-64 with a
one-line change in:
mythtv/libs/libmythtv/siscan.cpp
Search for qam_256 and change i

I was recently informed by Taylor that the "Scan All" option actually
works. I tried it myself and I found new stations I could pick up a
county or two away. I live in Miami and I could pick up two West Palm
Beach stations reliably. It's on my list to update the howto real soon now.

Hook it up, scan.

You might need to upgrade your gcc. I'm not sure which versions
support the Athlon-64.

Thanks for the quic
Also, don't install the ivtv drivers unless you really need them. I'll
rip out that line in the howto that displays info on the saa71115. I
just assumed that if it had the string "Air2PC" it came from their
driver. You know what they say about "assume"...

Hi,
I'm trying to set up an Air2pc card and mythtv in my Ubuntu Hoary
amd64 machine. Ubuntu has mythtv .17 debs available in its repository,
and they seem to work for me. I've successfully downloaded the cvs dvb
kernel drivers and incorporated them into my kernel and they seem to
load:
