So, with a recent software upgrade (apt-get dist-upgrade), a few problems seem to have been introduced into my system.  I'm not entirely sure what the cause is, and was wondering if someone else is having similar trouble.   First, the specs on my system:   Its a Pentium3 Fedora Core 3 (Kernel 2.6.
