Most likely the screensaver is kicking in.
Try adding these lines to your /etc/rc.d/rc.local file
(assuming that your X server is running by the time
rc.local is being executed):
/usr/X11R6/bin/xset -dpms
/usr/X11R6/bin/xset s off
If you're running KDE as your desktop environment, you
might also
im using mythtv and lirc, but not compiled in in myth no i use sendkeys
or so.
i've the problem that my pc after 3 minutes or so of doing nothing is
going to turn the screen black!
how can i stop this???
