Have you allowed remote connections to your MySQL
server?

I just upgraded my server and frontend to ver. 0.18.1. I can play
recordings on the server's mythfrontend program, but on my frontend box
I can't. When I try to play a recording or watch livetv, The screen just
stays black for awhile, and this what I get in the terminal:

ou blow up your database you can restore like so.
# mysql -u mythtv -p mythconverg < /home/mythtv/mythsql.dump
