FC3
Kernel: 2.6.11-1.27_FC3
Frontend/backend in same machine.
PVR250
nvida generic card to NEC monitor
myth SW: 0.18.1.20050523-1

What's your hardware situation? Is this frontend/backend on the same
machine? What versions of software do you have (kernel, myth, ivtv,
pchdtv...)

DVD player works fine, and using mplayer to test the
captured video, that MythTV captured, works fine.
Intersting note, I get a message:
The selected video_out device is incompatible with
this codec.
VDecoder init failed :(
But no crash, I never get that message when it
crashes.
Not to worried
I managed to Alt-Tap right after selecting watch recorded video. Below is what was on the mythfrontend terminal window, had to type it from another computer, as the MythTv one is frozen!
Disable DMPS
Opening audio device '/dev/dsp'.
Opening oss audio device '/dev/dsp'.
Using XV on port 61
Changi
When I attempt to watch live tv via MythTv, keyboard
locks up, system locks up, I get about 2 seconds of
sound then either nothing or sound repeating. No
video, black screen.
No problems when i test the capture with:
cat /dev/video0 > /tmp/test_capture.mpg
and
mplayer -vo xv /tmp/test_capture.
