Hi,
I am a long time user of nagios on linux platforms. I am currently
having a problem that I have not yet encountered and hence am hoping
that someone else has had this problem and can help me resolve it.
On this new server, I have installed nagios as an rpm with the latest
plugins etc so

I am trying to get nagios 2.0rc2 set up, and I am using

I'm running a Nagios install for quite some time, first Nagios 1.2 then

Everytime there's a new version, I try to follow.

Now I upgraded to Nagios 2.0rc1 and 2.0rc2 and both have a problem with

Did you try issuing the GET command? I would also try it from another
host as well. You can try it from Terminal if you're using OSX or from
cmd if you're on a Windows machine. Christian Joergensen had a good
thought about a firewall (or iptables) preventing the connection.

Hello all,
I have been having a few issues since I went live with our
prod Nagios box. The biggest being notifications. When I unassociated a service
with a host or disable notifications for a host or service nagios continues to
notify of the service. It will even notify contacts not a

Maybe a firewall?
Try to do a tcptraceroute and find the router responsible.

Easiest way would probably be to just hack on check_http.c to suit

In the left frame, there should be a link "Downtime". There you can

Hi -
Just started to use Nagios last week, works well so far.
I have a web site (Microsoft-IIS/6.0) that I've been asked to monitor that is
protected with NTLM authenication. It looks like check_http only supports
"Basic" authenication. True?
Advice?
Using Nagios 2.0b6.
Scenario: Host goes down due to hardware failure. Technician on call,
not wanting to have to reset
the scheduled maintenance every few hours enters a "scheduled
maintenance for next 24 hours (flexible)"
command. Hardware people bring the host up after "only" ten hours.

Hello,
I might be wrong, but I think that there is no definition of "check_fw1" in
the nrpe.cfg (or in the included files) on your new server.
So, NRPE doesn't know what to do when it receives the "check_fw1" instruction.
There should be something like that :
command[check_fw1]=
