Is it because of SMART calculation thats set in nagios.cfg ??? If not please

I absolutely agree with Frank - you can *really* mess up an RPM-based
distro by using CPAN if you are not VERY careful what you do, so do so
at your own risk! :\

out how to add 3rd party repos such as rpmforge etc, as there is

Looking through nagios.cfg it seems that Nagios is logging ALL passive
checks.
Will setting this value to 0 still allow us to get meaningful availability
reports?
