Apologies if this list isn't appropriate for this question, but I
thought I'd try here first.
We're trying to use the include_dir directive in NRPE with an
/etc/nagios/nrpe.d/ directory. My assumption was that files in this
directory would be loaded in alphanumeric order, but it seems to only

I afraid the file is so big, nagios can rotate it anymore.

just noticed that I couldn't change the alias value in an existing
host definition.
$HOSTALIAS$ just remained on the old value although the web
interface showed the current setting.

I did , I read many web pages (both in English and in Italian), but nothing
explain very well the configuration I have to prepare in both sides (central
Nagios server and remote Nagios server).
In particular:
- how defines the services in the remote and the fees in the central Nagios
server

The only way I have found to use NSCA & send_nsca is to create one script
each check command I use.
These scripts have to be present in the central Nagios server and in the
remote Nagios server, otherwise Nagios does not match the "Service
