OK, the parents defintion could be misleading...
Maybe better to explain with servicegrous, there you can define the
rough_nrpe
dependent_from nrpe
}
or as a "better" way to define the service one is dependent from like this:
define service{
service_description health_nrpe
dependent_from nrpe
...
}
like the "parent" we have at hosts.
create multiple servicedependency definition with the
same service_description (same master)? Has anyone tested this already?

Your routers should detect that one route is down and failover to the other

Just for understanding, you would check if the hosts which are connected to
this dumbswitch are up?
But they are tested anyhow..

Hi !!
I hope you can help me.
I'm trying to graphic the outcome of plugin check_mem.pl, but I'm not able to
do it, because the mem.env and mem.rrd are not being created and I don't know
why.
I have other graphics like: check_load and check_icmp with no problem.
Also, could you provide the df.
use the exclamation mark with the star, nagios tells
> me it can't find any matching hosts.
Hi,
did you set "use_regexp_matching" in your nagios.cfg to 1? You have to
activate this to use regex in your matching (as the name says ;)

define the check-host-alive in your templates, so if you have some
hosts that don't accept icmp-packets you can change it to any checkcommand
you want.
Have a look into the documentation at host definition
(http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/objectdefinitions.html#host)
