I am still relatively new to nagios and trying to implement nrpe with
nagios 3 at my site. I believe I have everything setup correctly on
both the nagios server and the client. When I try to use check_nrpe to
run a script on the client side I am getting the error:

Did you permit the host in nrpe.cfg allowed_hosts? NRPE should be
logging something in messages/syslog. If not

I am trying to get my Nagios 3.0.4 configuration setup with NRPE to
remotely monitor the status of a process on my remote systems. I
followed the configuration for NRPE on both the Nagios server and the
remote system and have it very close but am stumbling over the final
piece
Has anyone found any documentation that would help with deployment
planning for a Nagios 3 installation? I am trying to figure out how big
the virtual server would have to be in order to properly deploy and
manage a large system environment (over 1,000 hosts and probably more
than 5,000 services m
