I'm currently running Nagios 2.4 and have
a need to temporarily disable email alerts,
but nothing seems to be working, short of
stopping sendmail.
I have the following variables set:
enable_notifications=0
use_retained_program_state=0
I've restarted Nagios, cleared out the object.ca

If I don't define a warning/critical response time
for the check_http plugin, and the plugin ends up
timing out by default after 10 seconds, will notification
be sent? Or do I need to define a timeout? I was
hoping that I could just rely on the default plugin
timeout of 10 seconds sinc

It does appear to be a little newer based on the
dll reported version.

Is there an easy way to disable notifications globally
for a given host, or does it require modifying each
of the individual services, etc.? I was hoping I could
do something like set "notifications_enabled 0" in the
hosts.cfg for the given host, but I'm still receiving
notifications for all the s
