You can parse the file status.dat and publish only information that you
want.

This finally do not resolve the whole problem.
I want to be notified of "this night" error on "this morning" and not

compare the configuration of the correct hosts with the problematic
hosts, but I didn't find nothings interesting

Does anyone known something about it? Patchs? Hacks? Suggestions?
I believe sqlite is a good choise for small to medium companies.

It's a must for RRD because i need to change step and hearbeat value in

I found a solution, but my programming skill is basic, and is quite ugly.

I've modified nrep.cfg, and added sudo command
# grep check_vmfs /etc/nagios/nrpe.cfg
command[check_vmfs]=sudo /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_vmfs
now from nagios
# ./check_nrpe -H esx01 -p 5666 -c check_vmfs
VMFS OK: 17% free space on vmhba0:0:0:1
thanks all

It could also be (as in my case :-) a wrong physical_html_path in cgi.cfg.

Many thanks, whis was indeed the problem. I really didn't notice looking
at the config files since, without thinking too much, both
/usr/lib/nagios/cgi and /usr/lib/nagios/cgi-bin seemed reasonable.

Hi,
I finally got it: I had a type in physical_html_path in cgi.cfg. It was
not so obvious to see it since everything else was OK.
Anyway: many thanks to everybody.

Yes. I converted them all:
rm -f *gd2; or file in *png ; do pngtogd2 $file ${file%png}gd2 0 1; done
But, without any change.
How could I get more information on what is going on?

I can see the icons in the host list but not in the status map where I
simply see squares (in the popup the icon is OK). Looking on the web I
saw that it should be possible to have the icons in the map itself but I
am obviously missing something.
Many thanks,
