Hello,
Checked nagiosexhange and some of the forums but I am unable to locate
a plugin which allows me to login with a username and password to check either

Hello,
We would like to monitor individual power strips in the datacenter for
load. Does anyone have and product recommendations for power strips which can
be monitored by Nagios (SNMP I assume). Thanks, -Seth

Hello,
I am attempting to use the $SERVICENOTIFICATIONID$ macro in notifications
as part of new auditing initiative. However, in Nagios 3.0.6, it is not
behaving as expected. If I trip an alert, I get a notification with the
$SERVICENOTIFICATIONID$ included in the body. The next alert to c
I have been using nagios for years and have just moved from 3.0.5 to 3.1.0. I
have noticed that in 3.1.0 (regardless of what browser I am using), hitting F5
brings me back to the welcome page on 2 different installs. Anyone else seeing
this? Suggestions for correcting? Thanks, -Seth
In Nagios 3.1.0 there is a new feature:

I am using a different plugin to monitor our four 800s. Please let me know if
you don't get this one working and I will be glad to show you what we are using

Hello,
I am using both Nagios 2.10 and Nagios 3.0.1 ... We ack issues all the time
but we always uncheck the bottom 2 of the three check boxes. The emails just
add to the noise most times. Is there a way to set that so that happens by
default? Thanks, -Seth
Hi,
I have recently fired up 3.0.1 and have a question related to the web
UI. I have not seen a solution or workaround posted yet but I have seen the
question asked before. Here goes ... In non-3X nagios installs, if you are on
a page in the web UI and hit refresh, it refreshes the pag

Hi,
I know this is a weird request but . I have a NOC where the service
problems page is always up on a large plasma display. While this isn't all that
useful, it makes for some great eye candy for clients ,prospective clients and
management types that like blinky lights. However, I have
There are several plugins for this this already on nagios exchange. I would
take a look there as well.
Some of them are:

Hello,
I have an environment which includes systems doing disk mirroring
using the OS in Windows 2003. Has anyone found a good way to monitor
this setup using nagios. Ideally, I would like to know that both volumes
are healthy using either NSClient or NRPE. SMTP is an option as well. I

First, you will need to get check_snmp working. I have the Temp/Humidity
probe plugged into Port 2 (first avail for a sensor RJ-11 style).
Here is my check command:

Request it. I bought my device 3 weeks ago and requested the feature. They
released a new version of the firmware in a few days and Voila, it was there.
Their tech support guys are very easy to deal with and from what I can tell,
very responsive. -Seth

Download and install the newest firmware (came out a week or two ago) and then
telnet to the device on port . This is a secret little menu that allows you
to rest passwords and all sorts of other fun stuff. Select option 6 (Advanced)
and return through all the defaults, then select option 2
I just deployed one of these using nagios. You will need to use SNMP. There is
a secret setting that they just put in the most recent version of firmware that
allows the temp and humidity output to be displayed as xx vs (so you have
the device say 67 degrees instead of 6789 degrees). That y
