file via SNMP.
It is only possible to do so if you can get som values to read via SNMP.
Our mail system supports snmp, therefore it also supports snmp for values
like the antivirusDATfile number.

Please take a look at some simple plugins
written in bash.
They are extremely usefull, and you
will have the control to write som very specific checks like the one you
are asking for.

It uses SNMP to get the data which I pipe to tmp-file.
Then I reread the file via grep etc. until I have a status which I then
tell Nagois about.
