Hi-
I have a batch process that runs on a Windows box that I'd like to
monitor through Nagios. Currently, the job writes all status output to
a log file, and this log file is parsed by another monitoring agent
(NetIQ) in order to alert when problems occur. This job only runs once
a month, and is
fantastic.
Something like this would assist in root cause analysis, instead of just
using the BOFH excuse-of-the-day :)

It might also be interesting to see if there is a way to visually
represent these service dependencies on the Status Map. I have people
that are interested in viewing the status of the entire multi-tier
application stack by application, but this is difficult the way it is
represented now. I can c
ked the config files over a few times, verified the image
locations and permissions using a browser, and I've also used the
pngtogd2 utility to rebuild the .gd2 images, all to no avail.
Does anyone have any insight?
Thanks,
Todd McNeill
