Hi All
I'm sending nagios logs to a 3rd party application (Netcool) for processing,
and there is a requirement for the IP address of the monitored device to appear
in the ALERT and NOTIFY log lines for host and service statuses. Where would I
adjust which fields appear in the nagios log lines?
it be a configuration option
in the standard nagios.cfg ... I hereby wish this to the wish-list ;-)

Hi List
We have a requirement that our nagios (Version 3.0.6 running) instance send log
messages to syslogd using the Local5 facility instead of the User facility.
Currently it seems nagios only logs via User, is there any way to change this?
Thanks in Advance,
Traiano
Thanks, changing this to LOG_LOCAL5 seemed to work. I guess I should add this
to a wishlist of config file options for nagios

You wouldn't need an OID here, if the SNMP service on the remote box has

Please could you send us the output of a telnet from an Ubuntu machine to the

How viable would it be to distribute/develop a plugin for NRPE which is

Hi James
If you grep your main nagios log for the hostname you'll be able to see the
results of nagios checks on the host, and whether the host was detected as up
or not. It's likely that flap detection suppressed the notifications.
Thanks,
