Hi,
I have installed the following on a RHEL 5.4 blade server:
- nagios-3.2.1
- nagios-plugins-1.4.11
- nrpe-2.12
Install went smoothly, compiled without error.
Now trying to connect to my nagios server and get the following:
# /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe
Issue Resolved.
TCP_wrappers was the culprit.

D.

Probably one of the most asked questions. I don't know why in my case
things aren't working.

Hi,
I am getting this information in the web interface of Nagios. The below is
momentarily appearing means to say it appears for some time and then
disappears.
CHECK_NRPE: Error - Could not complete SSL handshake.
I have referred to the FAQ too

Hello list,
Runnung Nagios 2.3 on Rehat Linux version4. I compliled NRPE to check services
on the clinets and now I am getting the error below.
CHECK_NRPE: Error - Could not complete SSL handshake.
I also install NRPE ussing RPM for my system but I am still getinng the same
message.
Sameka,
Trying a lower truncate number (512) with nscp
(http://nscplus.medin.name/index.php/Main_Page) fixes the similar
error message for me. The error in my case is being generated from an
event log check overflowing the 1024 return limit on nrpe.

I am telling my nagios log and I see a Service Alert :
samp-02;load;unknown;soft;2;check_nrpe: error receiving data from host.
Now the server is not completely in production yet, so the load is 0.
Could this be due to the load being 0 or have I configured something wrong?
Thank you,
