Hi all, 
I compiled rpms of nagios 3.3.1 from the nagios.spec contained into the
tar.gz. There are 2 problems with this procedure, I hope this is the
right place to point them out: 

1) extracting the tar.gz creates a directory called "nagios", while the
expected name is "nagios-3.3.1" - I recreated the archive using the
right name and put it into /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/;
2) the spec.file contains an error: the --datarootdir flag must actually
be --datadir. 

Correcting these two problems allowed me to compile nagios.
