Hi all, I compiled rpms of nagios 3.3.1 from the nagios.spec contained into the tar.gz. There are 2 problems with this procedure, I hope this is the right place to point them out:
1) extracting the tar.gz creates a directory called "nagios", while the expected name is "nagios-3.3.1" - I recreated the archive using the right name and put it into /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/; 2) the spec.file contains an error: the --datarootdir flag must actually be --datadir. Correcting these two problems allowed me to compile nagios.
