Shannon, I do not know about Minx but most Halogen Bulbs throw a great deal of heat. I have one on my desk I use to "Cook" the top coat on Mani's. Everyone Loves it because it get's them out the door with no smudges. If you need more heat you could get a Halogen with Hi/Lo setting like mi
