I always do a prep with gel polish. It will not last without it and I will not
waste my time on a service that I do not want my name on because it doesn't
last. I do only quality work. That's what I tell anyone who calls and asks for
a cheaper price. I do not care what anyone else, especially NS
I have a nice clientelle that has been with me for years. I would like to get a

I had a woman call me after her appointment to trek me she did not get a

While she was here I told her I do a dry mani, did it and explained during.
So, was she even listening?

You are right Becky. I think the discount salons are finding that they have to
charge a fair market price when they are offering Shellac or Gelish ect... It's
not cheap like their mma 10ยข a set of nails. I'm sure that is why they are
offering without manicure so they can still offer a cheaper pr

I called around to a couple of the discount salons tonight and asked how much
for gel polish. Both places asked with a manicure or without. I said what is
the difference? They said trim cuticles. One place charges $20 for only gel
polish and $30 with a manicure. That is $2 more then my price. T
Same issue, different wording: How much for just a polish change?
Hmmm...let me see...removal, prep and reapply. Yeah, that would be the

Recently with the groupon thing a couple clients mentioned whether they would
get a manicure or not. I am puzzled by this... What do they think a manicure
is? What, exactly is being left out/off that would cause them to ask this?

Gel polish is "x" (whatever your price is), manicure is free. Take it or
don't. I've seen people post this before, its a pretty easy response
you don't get a discount for having no manicure.

I won't do it without the mani, either. I'm not putting my product on an
unprepped nail. If it chips I won't stand behind it, so there is no point

I had a girl ask me how much I charge for gel polish? I asked her " a gel
manicure or with enhancements?" She said "no, just gel polish, no manicure" I
told her I always do a manicure because it is how we prep the nails for the gel
polish and it is $28. She said she has had it done twice before
