i guess the sbc ceo did not like the article. too bad,
as the first third was *very* well framed, if a bit on
the hyperbolic.
perhaps someone with connections at linuxjournal can
sort this out for us. i'm a bsd user.

or such, or prioritizing other customers traffic or something else, but
the 90/10 rule saves some of it, the problem is when the 90% start doing
the same, then the flat rate business model is a problem and does not
scale.

there is a major problem within NewEdge networks this morning.
From the recording on the NOC line it sounds like they lost an internal
database and PVC's at many of the switches.
Anyone know what happened? Let the speculation begin :-)

Um, no.
That site is a dud, and I have no idea why Crack would be related to ASNs.

We seem to be having a problem with BBCom de-announcing one of our /24's
for a customer (209.218.47.0). This is about the third time it has
happened in the last two days, and I'm starting to wonder. They keep
fixing it each time we call, but what is going on? Thanks.

Recently my DS3 has been turned up to 8 megabits. How can I test to see if I can
actually achieve that throughput?
Online bandwidth test sites are only good for up to 5mb at the most, and my upstream
doesn't have a method to test that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Why a NANOG IRC server would be targeted, I have no clue. But if that's
the case, count me out.

If need be, if someone were to actually provide a shell or something
that did have enough bandwidth, I could setup the IRC server there and it
would be fine.

Heh, at least I don't have daily splits, and other people besides
