I ran into this issue myself once, but I could not reproduce it later on.
Can you consistently reproduce this issue ?

It is probably something I am doing wrong, I am new to NAnt. I am
trying to update my sourcecode in svn (with NAnt/NAntContrib) before I
do the build with NAnt, any feedback would be great.

Just as an experiment, try using "release" instead of "Release" in your
solution task. It might be a problem with lowercasing the configuration
name before running...
