Thanks for the compliments. The tool wouldn't be where it is today without the contributions of everybody that has worked on the project.

I'm forwarding this to the nant-dev list as they deserve the thanks more than I do. As you know yourself by working on an open source project, a project doesn't take off without more people than the author using it.

Gerry,

Just wanted to let you know that our DotNetNuke ASP.Net project is using NAnt to build our project from the command console. We've had MK files doing this piece available for our user base without a Visual IDE tool, but when we developed our newest release, found that the 'make' method really was no long viable. Other of our Core members were using NAnt for quick and dirty builds, and I begain to convert all of my ASP.Net related builds to NAnt.

I'm still not a NAnt expert, by any means, but I can't tell you how gratefull I am for the work done by you and your fellow developers on this valuable .Net build tool. I mention this to you as I'm recommending the use of NAnt to the DNN community for use as the default command line build tool. Some of our community already use the tool, and have even added wizards to their VS.Net studio environment to use NAnt to buld the release from it.

All in all a very great combination DNN and NAnt!!! Just thought you'ld be interested and want to share it with your developers. I'm sure you'll be seeing some upswing in downloads of the tools in the coming weeks, and months.

Thanks to the NAnt team,
