[neonixie-l] 2.5kV power supplier for Nimo tube

2011-11-06 Thread marcin
Hi All, Recently I acquired couple of those Nimo tubes. And now of course I would like to test them. Nimo needs 2.5kV DC @ 35 uA of anode voltage. How to generate this kind of voltage? The current is almost nothing. Would it be possible to use 10+ stages of voltage multiplier starting from a

Nice! But it is not a true binary clock since it is based on the base of ten and not two.   I.e. 5:23:31 becomes this in your BCD clock   101 010 0011 011 0001   but this in a base 2 binary clock: 0101 010111 01 Personally, I like the socond version better because it looks more uniform,

Back around May of 2010 I had asked around on here if anyone had a few NL-6844A nixies for sale. At that time, a few of you wrote back saying that there were a few available. Sorry that I have taken so long to follow up on this, but if anyone has some of these (one fellow, I forget who now

When you solder sockets to a pcb, you need to have a dummy plug [they were used for normal valve work] or a 'standard' nixie plugged in. The socket pins [of good sockets] can move around a bit. Before pcbs it didn't matter so much. With ordinary valves there are specialised sockets for pcb use.

Thanks for the suggestion, but these are not pcb mounted sockets. They are chassis mount sockets. They have a thin flange which has two small holes for screws. They have a phenolic base which the flange is fastened to. The phenolic base has the ring of holes into which the socket pins fit. The

Hey Terry, oh, I think that would really confuse me, just when I finally got the hang of my vertical binary clock: http://www.jb-electronics.de/images/elektronik/digital/d_binaeruhr3/binaeruhr3_fertig_2.jpg Jens Jens, It's actually worse than that! 5:23:31 becomes: 1010 010 1100 110
