There is a datasheet for most of the common Aurora displays (including
the FFD51) on this page. The pinouts are, unfortunately, completely
different from the 3015-F.

Yes of course your correct.
Except for the complete revolution bit, you can buy commercial clocks
that have an inverted pendulum, that said the pendulum doesnt swing
under gravity its driven at a high enough frequency to eliminate
flicker.

Does anyone happen to have a datasheet for the IEEFD51 minitron.
Physically, it looks similar to the 3015-f, but it only has 15 pins
instead of 16. Thanks.
