Is there a schematic of the LP-4 setup. I have one coming which should have
the data sheet included which will be a starting point but components and
values would be strictly guessing.

I had the same issues with ignition delays of B5870, but only in complete
darkness and not all the times. It would present itself only if dark and
the tube had been off for a while, if dark but the nixie had just been on a

Also want to add that, the SHUTDOWN pin on 6300 behaves the opposite way
compared to 6100. On 6100, pulling SHDN down to LOW enables the HV output.
So on the new 6300, leaving the SHDN pin floating will keep the HV output
in off state.
