The TI CD4511B datasheet lists the lists the *minimum* high level output
(at 5v VDD) of 4.1v but typical is 4.55v, maybe others are different?

At 4.55v the segment current on the IV-9 is going to be about 25ma. Typical

Code space is so tight in the older ATmega-based CPUs that the PS/2 serial
driver had to be removed in the 9.xx firmware to fit in other requested
features.
Having said that, there is an intersection of what's doable / customers
request / price sensitivity. We've looked briefly at combinations
Good to know. These might be a candidate for future clocks! I've had
intermittent luck with INS-1's, as have most! Thanks!

No problems with stability. I dim them like I dim the CD27 and fade them in and out and there is no flicker. I think the grid anode really helps. On Mar 5, 2023, at 11:33 AM, MichaelB wrote:Very Nice Paul, how stable are those little TNI-1.5D tubes? On Friday, February 10, 2023 at 4:59:48 PM UTC-8
Hey Nick,
No plans at this time to do that. There may be some minor tweaks to the
legacy timer functionality, but the CPU in the Legacy clocks is basically
maxed out as far as feature additions goes.

Definitely not off-topic! I think everyone on this forum appreciates that
post, well done. I really like the starfield effect. What tube were you
using? Looks like it has very good linearity across the whole screen
Cheers,
Nick
