Dear Nixieons:
I have nearly run out of steam making Nixie watches after twenty years.
My excess Nixie tube inventory is available.
These NOS tubes are for sale from Tucson AZ, USA:
400 5870ST (Burroughs) in boxes
500 ZM1336K (Siemens) in trays
450~ NL4998 (National) in white military boxes
I have a board which drives the displays just fine, opt triacs which I
drive from a PIC using the B-7971 Smart Socket code (slightly modified) and
i have had great success using the 'blue' EL power supply from Adafruit (I
think that's where they came from - I bought a bag of them).
For the sake
Right now it looks like there will be 3 different PCB's: One for the HV
power supply, one for a single I-95, and another for 2-4 IEL-0-IV (I havn't
sized the board yet, but it needs to be less than 4" per side). I use a
modular design approach, and everything is connected with a 10-pin
ribbon-c
I don't think it has any Hg in the gas, it looks very much like only Neon.
The welded wires are poorly welded and come loose easily, just like number
3 not working on the one sold on eBay now, I have a few failed SZ-2 with
the same problem.

Some six years ago I bought a bunch for USD$4 when they were sold in China,
a Chinese seller offered them in boxes of 25 per box then so they weren’t
that rare, then another eBay seller offered them for USD $49 for six
pieces, oerhaps the same seller who sold then ti me.

I am interested but not much help with the design. I'd love to use my
displays though.

Beautiful tube! Would absolutely be interested in trading other rare tubes
for one, if someone has an extra few lying around ;)
